I “summer” in Michigan and “winter” in Florida and welcome prospective families to visit me in either place!

I am so proud of Maxi and Marli and grateful to handler Ginger Raber. Maxi has 7 points towards her AKC championship. Marli has ten including two majors! I hope to finish them both next winter.

My name is Jacqueline Carney. I breed Havanese puppies. I have been breeding dogs in my home since 2002. I summer in Michigan and winter in Florida. But because I have a new grandbaby I travel back and forth constantly! Havanese are delightful dogs that average 8-14 pounds. Havanese shed minimally; are hypo-allergenic, intelligent and naturally sweet-tempered. My goal is to place my Havanese puppies with loving families that will cherish them forever.

          ABOUT CARNEYS HAVANESE HAVEN

Carneys Havanese puppies are Michigan or Florida bred from AKC champion bloodlines, both parents having passed all health tests and have received their prestigious CHIC rating. We always breed for show quality but welcome pet homes as well.

I  will not breed my Havanese before they have been health tested for hearing (BAER test) as well as for healthy eyes (CERF), and heart, hips and elbows.

Retaining the quality of our Havanese breed is important to me. I am treasurer of our local Lake Erie Havanese Club, am an active member of AKC (American Kennel Club) and the prestigious HCA (Havanese Club of America).

I have fallen in love with every puppy we have bred, so I am extremely cautious about which homes they go to. All families must complete a Buyer’s Application. I will not ship my puppies as cargo on airplanes. I will work with you to arrange transportation inside the cabin or in a car.

We have many testimonials on this site from people who bought Havanese puppies from previous litters. And I have many happy families who are more than willing to offer references.

This is Marli who we bred in December. She is on the small side and is full of spunk and joy!

Carneys

This was Lily’s first win in February 2013. On January 18, 2014 Lily became our first AKC Champion. She is now AKC CH Amblers at Carneys Garden Party. We plan to breed Lily the spring of 2014. Can’t wait!

And, at right is our latest addition, Potter. He will hopefully win his championship, pass all his health testing and become our first “stud muffin”!
