Havanese Puppies at 2 1/2 Weeks Old

Our little Havanese are 2 1/2 weeks old now. Eyes are open and they are becoming quite vocal in a darling puppy way.

Here is a video and some snapshots I took this morning.
The one barking in the video’s background is Potter. Every time I play the video he barks at himself barking LOL!

And of course his barking woke up my grandson Ben who I am “forced” to watch on Tuesdays. Nothing is ever easy!

Standing on all fours! They are all doing this now….they just wouldn’t cooperate for me this morning when I had my camera out.

This is my step niece, Alex, who love to come over and play with the puppies.  I’m sure she’ll end up being a vet some day!

This is Dillon

Dillon, one of Marli’s pups, has tested negative for furnishings which means she is a satin-coated Havanese. This means her coat will be shorter (easier to groom!) and flatter than a typical Havanese. It does not mean she will have any related health issues. You can see how Dillon assessed with the Volhard Personality Profile that I posted about a week ago. Dillon is extremely playful and affectionate. She is confident and loves to follow me around the yard. She will be small…likely between 8 and 9 pounds. She has beautiful coloring. Mostly black with a large white patch on her chest, white paws and brown legs. She will be a very pretty girl! If you are interested in Dillon drop me an e-mail at j7carney@gmail.com.

And Now We Have Names

Dillon has a slightly different coat than her sisters…flatter and less curly. And, she has her mama’s face. Here are some closeups of her. As for personality she is a bit less outgoing but loves to play.

Puppy #2 we’ve named Daffodil…Daffy for short. She is a bit on the wilder side. Has some tan markings…but not as much as Dillon. And she has a fuller, wavier coat.

And, Puppy #3 is now Delilah. Right now she is the most outgoing of all. In fact we had trouble getting a still shot of her. These are the best of what we got. She is mostly black with white markings.
