Michigan Havanese Breeder
Puppies One Week Old
Fern’s puppies are one week old and have nearly doubled their birth weights!
And I have given them names on a Motown Theme.
The boy is Marvin for Marvin Gaye.
The girls are named after the Supremes:
Diana Ross
Mary Wilson
and Florence Ballard.
We are a very musical family and this is my second litter that has had a musical theme. Two years ago we had the Blues litter.
So here are some recent photos of the pups with their new names!
I’ll get some better photos in a few days!
Uno, now Junot, Still Needs a Home!
We are looking for the perfect home for this little guy. He has lots of energy but will settle down and cuddle too. He weighs about 6 pounds…will likely be about 9 pounds as an adult.
This is Marlis pup born April 19. It wasn’t until he was about 8 weeks old that we began to notice something different about him. He has a short coat! We now call him Junot and his coat is the result of a recessive genes carried by each of his parents. Hence the term short-coated Havanese. As you can see, he has a very sweet face and gorgeous Havanese almond eyes! He is by far the most friendly pup I’ve raised. Loves to be petted, to play and to be on my lap. Bonus…he is incredibly intelligent.
Because of his coat there is a chance is Junot is not as hypo-allergenic as most Havanese. On the up side…he doesn’t need to be brushed three times a week!
if you would like to meet Junot, send me a note!
Yea!! We have puppies!!
Maxi whelped three beautiful girls! Labor went well. First puppy arrived at 2:15 pm. Second took her sweet time and arrived at 5:00. Last puppy came at 6:10. All are nursing well and have good weights: 5.0 to 6.7 ounces. More photos to follow.
Sire is Potter….CH Bristolwood Carneys Mischief in MacGregors Garden.
Potter and Maxi both have sweet, loving and cuddly personalities. Potter is a total shadow and Maxi loves to sleep on my shoulder. Puppies should have fantastic dispositions.
Keep checking back for more updates and photos.
Margo Needs A Home
Due to some very unfortunate circumstances, little Margo needs a new home. She is out of my Marli/Ruger litter that whelped February 27, 2014. So she is 2 years old. Margo has a very sweet disposition and is currently on day 2 of trying to adjust to my pack. She is timid (who wouldn’t be, thrust into a home with so many other dogs!) but is improving steadily on that front.
Margo is used to living with a mom, dad and 3 and 5 year old little girls. She is housebroken and is on the small side…about 9 pounds. She will sleep in a crate or on your bed. As you can see, she is mostly black with white paws and a white chest. Very pretty! She is current on all her shots and is spayed. She is AKC registered and microchipped.
If you think Margo would fit into your life, please fill out the questionnaire on my website and we can go from there.
