And Now We Have Names!

My husband and I have taken to watching the old movies because we just can’t relate to most of the new stuff! So, my theme for this litter is “Stars of the 50’s!”

I hope you enjoy these closeups!

This is Bogie (Bogart)…our only male pup.  Bogie is spoken for. He has a beautiful tri-color coat and my best guess is he will keep a lot of his black coloring, along with the tan and white. He is relatively calm but enjoys playing with his sisters.

This is Ava (Gardner). She is the lightest of the sables. She also has another distinguishing characteristic….she has a tiny kink at the tip of her tail. It’s a first for me and nothing to be concerned about. More importantly she is sweet and loves to cuddle!

This is Ingrid (Bergman). She is a wanderer and a bit independent but still loves her peeps!

This is Sophia (Loren). Don’t let her demure posture fool you!

This is Grace (Kelly). She is the smallest at this point, and the only black and white. Grace is staying with us for a while.

This is Shirley (MacLaine). She is a pistol! Shirley is also spoken for.

Puppies Meet the Broom!

The kids are five weeks old now and enjoying time spent outside their pen. Today, as part of the “Puppy Culture” protocol,  they are meeting a very foreign object…the broom!

None of them even skipped a beat! LOL

Milk Bar Closes in 10 Days!

Our puppies started on solid food today! They LOVED it!!

They will still nurse but I gradually cut back Artemis’s food so her supply dwindles slowly. Just like people, you don’t want to stop “Cold Turkey”!

I give them Royal Canin puppy food that has soaked in water. Then I run it thru my mini-food processor.

You might also notice the baking pans filled with pine pellets. This is the first step in potty training. They are doing great. We start them at 3 weeks so this is one week into it.

Puppy Close Ups!

Artemis’s pups are 1 1/2 weeks old now. These photos were taken at 1 week. They are all so healthy and lively. Thank you Lord!

Anyway, here they are in birth order!

I am waiting on my grandchild Lulu to tell me what their names will be. Hint: Lulu has a sweet tooth!
