And Now We Have Names!

For those of you with young children in your lives, this will sound familiar.

This is my Pokeman litter…named by my grand daughter Lulu. Please bear in mind that these names have little to do with color or characteristics!

Our first born, a boy, is Ash. Ash is mostly black with a white face, feet and chest.

This is Eevee. He is a gold sable with white face, collar, feet and tip of his tail.

This pup is our tiny one. Born at just 3 oz. he has almost doubled his weight (with a little help from his human)! He is a dark sable with white paws, tail tip and patch on the back of his head. We are calling him Luxio.

Puppy #4 is a girl. She is white with soft gold spots that will likely fade to cream. We are calling her Pansear.

One of white and cream pups, this is the boy. It is almost identical to puppy #7 except that she is a girl and quite a bit larger at this time. That will likely change. Anyway, we are calling him Togepi.

Puppy #6 is a boy. He is white with dark sable spots. If you look carefully you can see he is already sporting pigment on his nose! We are calling him Pikachu.

This is our other cream and white pup. It is a girl and we are calling her Swirlix. She was the last born and rules the roost! Her nose is darker but not at all finished darkening. We are calling her Swirlix.

I hope you enjoy the fun in this name selection! What we don’t do for our grandhildren!!

We Have Puppies!

It has been over five months since I’ve had tiny paws padding around my house so I am excited!

Sienna whelped 7 beautiful (but tiny) babies last night. She was four days early which is rare in dogs. But I am certain because I had her progesterone tested twice and the breeding was by artificial insemination. My boy Tiger is the sire.

This breeding combines multiple lines and pedigrees that I love and respect. My first champion, Lily, is the great grandmother! And my boy Tiger, who lives nearby, is the sire. Suffice it to say I can’t wait to see how these kids develop.

We Have Puppies!! Two need homes

Sunshine whelped 3 beautiful puppies on February 20. They will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. Time flies when you have puppies! Anyway, we are looking for homes for the two boys, Porsche and Beemer. Puppies are fat and healthy and playing with each other, their mom and their roomates!

This is Beemer. He is a gold sable parti and has amazing eyes. He is also a love bug!

This is little Mercedes. She is currently reserved for the show circuit…assuming she gets to standard.

This is Porche. He loves to sit on my lap. he is a dark sable parti.

Meet Little Willow!

Breeder’s Note: Willow has found the perfect home! She is living with a single career woman whose children are grown…and her 80 something father in Western Michigan. I love this because I will be able to come visit from time to time!

Willow is looking for a forever home. She is just over 1 year old and has been a show girl for a few months but, honestly, she’d rather be a pet. She is just too darn happy!

One judge, a few months back commented that she did get all four feet on the ground at one point! But most of the time it looks like she’s flying! And she never, ever stops wagging her tail! Problem with that is, the judge can’t see how pretty she is because her tail is in constant motion!

As you can see from the photos, she is mostly black with pretty white markings around her face. She also has white paws and white on the tip of her tail. She has a bubbly personality, loves children and other dogs.

Willow as a puppy with my daughter.

Willow is on the smaller side. She is just over 8 1/2″ at the shoulders and weighs about 10#.

Puppies Have Arrived!

Luna delivered 6 beautiful puppies on Monday. I should actually say my vet delivered them as she had a c-section! LOL.

She has recovered extremely well and is one of the most attentive puppy moms I have had. To the point of moving them to a different place in my bedroom if she isn’t happy with the whelping box. It took some convincing to ensure her that the whelping box is really the best place. Amazing how those canine instincts come into play.

Struggling with names so stay tuned on that!

We have already begun our Puppy Culture protocol. This week is fairly simple. Gentle handling, belly rubs and soothing voice (which they probably cant hear yet but they still get the ‘vibes’.
