Open Eyes, Puppy Growls and Mouthing….oh my!
And then….30 seconds later…they crashed!
And then….30 seconds later…they crashed!
As we all know, babies sleep all the time. Like 90% of the time!
Puppies are no different. But, while their brains are resting, their little bodies are still in constant motion! Some movements are just adjusting themselves, seeking a warm body or looking for mom. Other movements … the more sporadic ones…are critical to their muscle development. Called “activated sleep”, these twitches and pops actually help their tiny muscles get stronger and builds nerve connections that are critical to motor coordination.
The puppies have outgrown their whelping box and were introduced to a bigger area!
I am using different rugs for their flooring which seems to really strengthen their little legs quicker.
One of the things i am adament about is the health testing of my dogs!
If they do not pass i (sadly) remove them from my breeding program. It definitely doesnt mean they are sickly or will have major issues.
Just that there is no point in risking the issues will be passed along to their offspring.
So here are the results of the parents of my current litter, Artemis and Solo.
Fee free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
