Puppies Meet the Broom!

The kids are five weeks old now and enjoying time spent outside their pen. Today, as part of the “Puppy Culture” protocol, they are meeting a very foreign object…the broom!

None of them even skipped a beat! LOL

This is first-born boy puppy Sprinkles. He is a wonderful boy, smallish in size but it's early yet to make any determination.

Girl Puppy Brownie is a brown sable parti. She has beautiful white markings. She is also on the smaller side...for now. Likely to change. She is feisty and loves to cuddle.

This is girl puppy Macaroon. She is a pretty gold sable parti. The gold color bordered with black and surrounded in white markings. She is a bit shy but is working her way out of it.

This is girl puppy Cookie. Born 4th, she is a very dark brown that I thought at first was black. She is engaging (looks me in the eye) and loves belly rubs.

This boy puppy Fudge. He is also a very dark brown pied. Mostly black with 4 white legs. A sweet boy that loves to "paw" at his littermates to tease them to play.

And, last but not least, Cupcake. She is black and white and a bit larger than the others but they are catching up to her! Cupcake is the original cuddler!

Puppy Pen Gets Remodeled

Once the puppies gain confidence in their surroundings it’s time to change it out. Not too much…but just enough to challenge their little brains.

So I added some arial objects…plastic chains dangling in several places.

I also added some different toys. And I moved the direction of their pen.

I am so excited how they have taken to pottying in the litter trays!
