At 3 weeks puppies will start exploring their environment and their littermates by “mouthing”.
This is not to be confused with a 10 week old puppy’s mouthing which can be a bit painful!
I find it endearing…one of the first signs of interaction with others around them.
Sunshine is a true milk machine. Here she is nursing all 9 puppies. But she only has 8 nipples so there is a lot of musical boobies happening!
Our puppies are getting so big! Sunshine’s pups eyes are open! It won’t be long before Artemis’s are as well. Ben chose a “garden” theme for Sunshine’s pups. I think he picked some pretty cool ones!!

It has been an exciting week at the Carney household!!
Both Sunshine and Artemis had their puppies…just two days apart!
Sunshine whelped a week ago on May 1 and Artemis on May 3.

Artemis had four puppies…two girls and two boys. They were black irish pied and red sable irish pied. One sex each of each color. Their markings are so striking!!
Sunshine had 5 puppies, 3 boys and 2 girls. The beautiful cream pup is a boy. The 2 girls are sable parti and the other 2 boys are black parti.

Rocky was Eevee from Sienna’s July litter. I had held him out as a show prospect, despite telling myself having intact boys and intact girls in the same house is asking for trouble.
He is just so dang cute! Anyway, my brain has won this battle and I have decided to give him a wonderful pet home.
He is 3 months old now and lives with us in Florida. He is a total love! Follows me everywhere!! And loves to sit on my lap….pretty rare for a bouncy puppy.
He is trained to potty outdoors and on a pee pad. He is not quite trained to tell me when, however, so that needs some work. He has had all his DHPP vaccines and is microchipped. If you are interested, please fill out the questionnaire on this website.
